The Buffalo Bills are coming into this weekend’s divisional matchup with some confidence after winning two games in a row. They will face the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, but both teams are dealing with several injuries that could change how the game plays out.

For Buffalo, the main concern is on offense. Wide receiver Josh Palmer is listed as questionable because of knee and ankle injuries. He practiced in a limited way this week. Palmer has only played six games, but he has made an impact with 14 catches for 234 yards. He averages 16.7 yards per catch, giving the Bills a deep-play option that helps stretch defenses. If Palmer can’t play, Josh Allen will lose a valuable target in the passing game.

The Bills will also be missing a few important defensive players. Defensive end A.J. Epenesa has been ruled out because of a concussion. He didn’t practice at all this week. Epenesa has been a strong part of the defensive line, posting 15 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and an interception in eight games. His absence will make it tougher for the Bills to pressure the quarterback.

Linebacker Shaq Thompson is out too, due to a hamstring injury. He did not practice this week. Thompson has been one of the leaders on defense, with 28 tackles and a sack this season.

The Bills also have several players listed as questionable: cornerbacks Christian Benford and Taron Johnson, and defensive tackle DaQuan Jones. All three practiced on a limited basis later in the week. Their playing status will likely be decided right before kickoff.

Miami has problems of its own. Linebacker Chop Robinson is out with a concussion. Cornerback Rasul Douglas is doubtful with a foot and ankle injury. Douglas has been a reliable starter, and his absence could make things tough against Buffalo’s passing attack.

The Dolphins also have injuries in the secondary and on offense. Safety Ashtyn Davis, safety Ifeatu Melifonwu, and running back Ollie Gordon are all questionable. **Wide receiver Dee Eskridge can’t play because he hurt his shoulder.

The Bills enter the game at 6-2, while the Dolphins sit at 2-6. Both teams are dealing with injuries, but Buffalo appears to be in a stronger position heading into Sunday.
