People pay attention when an ex- winner of the Heisman Trophy refers to you as the real deal. And that is what occurred on Monday when Matt Leinart gave a glorifying account of the young quarter back of Ohio State by the name Julian Sayin.

“Julian Sayin is the real deal. This movie is magnificent and it is only getting better each week, Leinart wrote on X.

The recommendation was made by Leinart immediately following the resounding 42 3 victory of No. 1 Ohio State over Minnesota – in which Sayin appeared every bit the star of tomorrow. The freshman has made 23 of 27 passes with 326 yards and three scores, leading three long scoring ones of 65 yards or longer.

Sayin is as still as ever with his gifted receivers. Carnell Tate had a record-high nine receptions good enough to give him 183 yards and a touchdown with Jeremiah Smith contributing seven receptions and two scores.

The statistics Sayin has provided are eye-popping, and they include: 80.2 live completion rate, passing yards 1,313, 13 TDs, and only three interceptions. His passer rating of 196.9 is the third best in the country and this places him well in the preliminary Heisman discussions.

Buckeyes is holding onto the first position in the AP Poll after week 6 and they are still on the top of the position even when other powerhouses such as Texas and Penn State lost all places in the Top 25 as a result of upset losses. Ohio State will seek to continue the momentum next weekend when they take on No. 17 Illinois in the Big Noon game on FOX another high profile occasion to their emerging quarterback.

Other best college quarterbacks up to Week 6

CJ Carr, Notre Dame (32): Good player whose 6 TDs in the previous two matches.

The words of Leinart might come true as the postures and accuracy of Julian Sayin are the driving force of the highest-rated team in the country, and the young star of Ohio State resembles the actual one in all possible ways.
