The Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers are heading into Week 13 with injuries on both sides. Several starters are out, and both teams will have to adjust. With the Browns struggling at 3-8, every player matters.
Browns Hit Hard by Injuries
Quarterback Dillon Gabriel is still in concussion protocol after being hurt in Week 11 against the Ravens. He missed last week’s game and might miss this one too.
Wide receiver Jamari Thrash has a foot injury. He did practice fully, but the Browns haven’t confirmed if he will play.
Other players already ruled out include:
- Alex Wright (quad)
- Adin Huntington (quad)
- Brenden Bates (ankle)
Running back Jerome Ford has a hamstring issue and is listed as questionable. He only practiced in a limited way. Cornerback Tyson Campbell is recovering from a hip injury and also practiced on a limited basis.
49ers Get Some Players Back
The 49ers are dealing with injuries too, but some key players are returning. Quarterback Brock Purdy has a toe injury but practiced fully this week, so he could start.
Wide receiver Ricky Pearsall is back after a PCL knee injury and practiced fully.
Other updates:
- Dominick Puni (shoulder) – practiced fully
- Luke Gifford (hip) – practiced fully
- Robert Beal Jr. (concussion) – cleared for practice
- Sam Okuayinonu (ankle) – still out
Even with these returns, the 49ers aren’t at full strength. Okuayinonu’s absence is still a concern.
Who Has the Edge?
Both teams are dealing with injuries, but the 49ers have more key players healthy. The Browns are missing multiple starters and have questions at quarterback and receiver.
This game may come down to which team can adapt and overcome their injuries. Sunday’s matchup will test depth, toughness, and coaching. Who will pull off the win?
