The No. 6 Oregon Ducks secured a spot in the College Football Playoff with a 26-14 win over Washington in Week 14. The Ducks finished the season 11-1 (6-1 in the Pac-12) but fell short of defending their conference title. Still, the win gives the team extra time to rest and recover before the postseason, which could be crucial for head coach Dan Lanning’s injury-hit squad.

Oregon Ducks has faced major issues in the wide receiver room. Dakorien Moore and Gary Bryant Jr. are star receivers who have been missing a number of games. Moore has been dealing with a knee injury, keeping him out for the last three games. He had already contributed 443 yards and three touchdowns on 28 catches, plus 49 rushing yards and another score. Bryant Jr. has been sidelined with an ankle injury since Oregon’s Week 11 game at Iowa. The senior had 299 receiving yards and four touchdowns this season. When asked about their status, Lanning gave a playful but vague response: “They’re all healthy now, so we’re good. I don’t know.”

In addition, Oregon Ducks has had injuries along the offensive line with Iapani Laloulu, Isaiah World, Alex Harkey, and Gernorris Wilson. The defensive line has also been affected, with Tionne Gray missing time. Despite these challenges, Oregon Ducks have shown strong depth, keeping their offense productive.

Players like Malik Benson, Jeremiah McClellan, and Jamari Johnson stepped up in key moments. Tight end Kenyon Sadiq became the main target in the passing game, although he also suffered an awkward landing against Washington. Benson had a standout performance with five catches for 102 yards, including a 64-yard touchdown on a critical third-down play in the fourth quarter.

If Moore and Bryant return for the playoffs, Oregon’s wide receiver group will become even more dangerous. Combined with a defense that has been consistent all season, the Ducks are in a strong position for the postseason. Their ability to overcome injuries and still win shows just how deep and talented this team is, making them a tough matchup for anyone in the College Football Playoff.
