He worked his way up, earned a full scholarship, and eventually became Ohio State’s top scorer for two straight seasons. Wearing No. 38, Fielding built a reputation for being calm under pressure. He even leaned into a “villain” role at times — a kicker who wasn’t afraid of big moments. Fans celebrated his clutch performances, like sealing the 2024 National Championship win over Notre Dame and drilling a career-best 46-yard field goal earlier this year.
