Ireland have also announced that they will include five uncapped players in their Test team to the Bangladesh tour next month, and which marks a new dawn to the team as they revert to red-ball cricket.
Cade Carmichael, Liam McCarthy, Jordan Neill, and Stephen Doheny are among those that might make Test debuts. Leg-spinner Gavin Hoey who has been in earlier squads but has never experienced his first cap may also feature.
The side of Heinrich Malan will hold two Test matches, which will be their first since meeting Zimbabwe in February, and the three T20s.
Josh Little and Mark Adair are also key fast bowlers and will be back in the tour after missing the T20 series against England because of injury. The two are likely to improve the bowling attack of Ireland in the run up to the world cup that will take place next year.
Gary Wilson, the assistant coach added that with those two guys in the team, with their T20 experience, they can step up the attack. We had been a trifle short of England strength so it is fine have them back. The two have toured the world and infused authentic quality in the band.
There is a return of Tim Tector to T20 squad and Ben Calitz also retains his position following his debut against England.
The Test team has some of the more seasoned players in the form of the captain Andrew Balbirnie, Paul Stirling and Harry Tector, and just seven players of the 15-man squad had attended Bangladesh two years ago. PJ Moor, the retired opener, will also not be on the side.
Wilson confessed that the team has not played red-ball cricket this summer which has been a challenge but is positive. We have had it better than we should have, as far as first-class games are concerned, but we have endeavored to give a red-ball practice to other players throughout the summer. It has been largely in the nets, although we are looking forward to watching the performance of the new guys.
