Erling Haaland has at last entered the world of YouTube, and people are already enjoying the look into his off-field life. The first video of Manchester City superstar is called Day in the Life of a Pro Footballer, which demonstrates that the Norwegian goal machine has a rather strange daily routine consisting of discipline, strange habits, and an unexpected passion of cooking.

In a 10-minute video, Haaland shows the audience how he spends his mornings in the slick, marble-clad house, including giant windows, bare sparse furniture, and even a massive teddy bear in the kitchen. One of the first surprises? He begins his day by drinking coffee with maple syrup. It is coffee, which is a super food, when done well, says the 25-year-old striker with a smile.

Breakfast is plain, yet substantial: fried eggs and fresh bread, and Haaland prepares it himself, together with his girlfriend, Isabel Haugseng Johansen. I used to live alone since I was 16, which is why I need to cook, he explains. No chef in the house, just Haaland and frying pan.

The City forward, who has already hit 24 goals in 14 games this season in the club and country, then visits his home gym where he spends time with his sports therapist, Mario Pafundi of Manchester City, on some massage and recovery work. The British weather does not provide much sunshine, so Haaland takes a red light therapy machine to absorb some vitamin D before walking out to Greenoaks Farm to purchase steaks, raw milk, and honey.

Haaland then later makes two giant tomahawk steaks, which he marinates as he takes an ice bath. In time to grill, he is all happy chef: this will be very beautiful, he says, examining the meat, and then dumping the cutlery and eating his food between fingers.

If people consider the aspirations and the feasts, Haaland explains in the video, but not the details behind them, the food, the recovery, the routine. This is a little of what I am like when I am not playing football and I hope football fans they will like to see that side of me.

The movie offers fans an intimate look of the life one of the most dominant players in football, and this proves that even a player who is impossible to stop loves a good steak and a basic morning cup of coffee (with a twist).
