Cristiano Ronaldo added another goal to his strong season, scoring in Al-Nassr’s 3-1 win over Neom. The goal also caught the attention of his former Manchester United teammate Rio Ferdinand, who reacted online with applause emojis to show his support.

Ronaldo was in the spotlight before the match because he recently said that the Saudi Pro League is tougher than La Liga in Spain. Instead of talking more, he answered with his play on the field. At 40 years old, he continues to perform at a high level. His goal in this match takes him to nine league goals in eight games and marks his sixth straight league match with a goal.

The goal came from the penalty spot in the 62nd minute. Al-Nassr earned the penalty after Joao Felix was fouled in the box by Khalifa Al-Dawsari. VAR checked the play and confirmed the referee’s decision. Ronaldo stepped up and placed the ball into the bottom right corner to make it 2-0.

Al-Nassr took control early in the second half. Angelo Gabriel opened the scoring with a clean shot into the bottom corner just two minutes after the break. Neom’s chances got even harder when Luciano Rodriguez was shown a straight red card in the 56th minute, leaving them with 10 players. Ronaldo’s penalty followed soon after, extending the lead.

Neom did score in the 84th minute when Ahmed Abdu finished from inside the box, making the game closer. But Al-Nassr responded quickly. Just two minutes later, Joao Felix scored from outside the box to secure the win.

This victory keeps Al-Nassr perfect in the league with eight wins from eight games. Manager Jorge Jesus made ten changes from their midweek match, where Ronaldo was rested, but the team still looked confident and well-organized.

Ronaldo continues to show that he can deliver, and the team continues to follow his lead. With form like this, Al-Nassr will feel very strong moving forward in the season.
