It is possible that the Dolphins may end the tenure of Tyreek Hill. CBS Sports sources report Miami will part ways with the star wide receiver well before the next league season starts in March 2026, due to the gruesome knee injury that he sustained against the Jets on Monday.
Tyreek Hill tore several ligaments in his dislocated ACL knee, and underwent surgery on Tuesday. According to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, the operation was successful and Hill aims at a comeback in Week 1 next season. Rosenhaus made an addition that the knee surgery should not require any further surgery.
According to NFL Network, this does not mean that Tyreek Hill will earn a certain amount of money in 2026, namely, 29.9 million. He however has an 11 million injury guarantee and a 5 million roster bonus that would vest in case he is with the Dolphins in March.
Word that Hill was unhappy in Miami had been floating around months in advance with trade talk trailing the 31-year- old all the way to the conclusion of the first three weeks of the season.
Tyreek Hill was upbeat despite being injured, he was smiling as he was carted off the field. He even went to the Dolphins facility on Friday before they have a match with the Panthers on their Week 5.
Dolphins stand at 1-3 although they were able to win over the Jets without Hill. He had begun to rebound this season with 21 catches totalling 265 yards and a touchdown before he was injured.
After the Chiefs traded him in a blockbuster deal in 2023, Tyreek Hill has been spending the last three seasons with Dolphins. He also has one year remaining on his renegotiated three year, 90 million-dollar contract.
