NFL does not let us down – there is always something wild that makes us remember why we can never quit watching. It was not a game-winning TD at the last moment or a YouTube video of the coach on the sidelines, but a broadcaster, Eric Collins, turning on a Carolina Panthers game like it was the Super Bowl. His power had transformed a boring game into an exciting 17-point turnaround and won the hearts of fans, once again, to football.
This time, we are going to jump into the Power Rankings of this week, when the Chiefs trip, the Lions bark, and some of the underdogs are suddenly banging their heads on the ground.
1. Detroit Lions (4–1)
Past week: No. 3 Beat: Bengals 3724 Next: vs. Chiefs.
The Lions continue to roll. The emotional game that David Montgomery plays in front of his sister is a highlight, although the run game and the confidence of Detroit are to be considered. The crew of Dan Campbell is the one that appears to be a real competitor.
2. Buffalo Bills (4–1)
Last week: No. 2 Lost to: Patriots 2320 Next: at Falcons.
The fire that Josh Allen possesses is like no other, at times, excessive. His violent dashing against the Bills towards the end of the game with the New England team injures them, but still, one cannot but admire the amount of heart he displays in every game.
3. Philadelphia Eagles (3–2)
Past week: No. 1 Lost to: Broncos 2117 Remaining: at Giants.
Jalen Hurts delivered 38 passes but the Eagles merely provided six carries to Saquon Barkley. The offensive line must tighten because that disequilibrium is causing their rhythm to lose. Nevertheless, they possess talent to the extent which they will be able to beat the Giants.
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4–1)
Past week: No. 8 Beat: Seahawks 3835 Next: vs. 49ers.
Baker Mayfield had video-game numbers – more than 375 passing with less than five incompletions. The crime is gaining momentum in Tampa and this road victory over a good Seattle team indicates that they are the real thing.
5. Indianapolis Colts (4–1)
Last week: No. 10 Beat: Raiders 406 Next: vs. Cardinals.
Shane Steichen is demonstrating why he was the correct hire. The Colts provided him with the roster and equipment to achieve and he is performing in a flamboyant manner. They are heading to Week 6 looking even-handed and dangerous.
6. San Francisco 49ers (4–1)
Last week: No. 7 Beat: Rams 2623 Next: vs. Buccaneers
The dirty victory against the Rams left everyone with the reason why San Francisco is among the best-coached teams in the league. Mac Jones was tough and the depth of the Niners remains to amaze.
7. Washington Commanders (3–2)
Last week: No. 12 Beat: Chargers 2710 Next: vs. Bears.
In the attempt, Jayden Daniels was keen in his comeback with two reel passes, to Luke McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel. The Commanders are building their rhythm on the offensive side of the football, and a more regular ground attack would turn them into a threat.
8. Seattle Seahawks (3–2)
Last week: No. 6 Lost to: Buccaneers 38135 Next: at Jaguars
Some brilliant blitzes were called by Seattle defense and missed tackles were very expensive. The good news? Their crime still appears formidable, and they will get an opportunity to turn tables on Jacksonville.
9. Los Angeles Rams (3–2)
Last week: No. 5 Lost to: 49ers 2623 Next: at Ravens.
Special teams mistakes have brought the Rams down this entire season. A game against the ailing Baltimore could be all they require to get themselves back on track.
10. Jacksonville Jaguars (4–1)
Last week No. 16 Beat: Chiefs 3128 Next: vs. Seahawks
One of the best plays of the season was a 99-yard pick-six Devin Lloyd made against Patrick Mahomes. Jacksonville is finally beginning to resemble a whole team with a defense that is finally meshing.
11–32
11. Broncos (3-2) -The victory over Eagles was critical in terms of morale.
12. Chiefs (23) 1 another narrow defeat makes Kansas City fall to under.500.
13. Packers (2–1–1) Rested and set to do Bengals.
14. Steelers (3-1)- Bye was timely.
15. Chargers (32) – Have to rectify errors quickly.
16. Vikings (3-2)- Bearing down to narrow victories.
17. Patriots (3-2) -They are taken to a disappointment victory by defense.
18. Texans (23–3) -Their 44-10 victory over Baltimore shocked the world.
19. Bears (22-2) – Fresh after a bye now ready against Washington.
20. Cowboys (221) – Rebounced and displayed a good offensive performance.
21. Ravens (1 4) -Finding answers to a savage defeat.
22. Cardinals (23) – Near but can not complete games.
23. Falcons (22) 1 week rest then play Buffalo.
24. Bengals (23) – Defense has troubles on holding late leads.
25. Browns (14) -Competitive and unable to close games.
26. Panthers (2–3) – Last out of the bottom with a victory against all odds.
27. Saints (1 4) – The offense that has signs of life.
28. Raiders (14) -Nothing went on in Indy.
29. Giants (1–4) – Offense looks lost.
30. Titans (1–4) – They are kept off the bottom by narrow wins.
31. Dolphins (14) – Unlucky defeats mounting.
32. Jets (05) -On a hunt to get their first win.
The Lions and the Bills resemble primitives, yet the greatest narrative of this week is Kansas City – under.500 and now human. At the same time, Colts, Bucs, and Jags are all demonstrating that nothing in the NFL lasts long without momentum.
Next week should be wild. Buckle up.
