LeBron James is writing a new book in his life to write it literally. The Los Angeles Lakers star is going to publish a children book based on the Halloween theme titled Happy Spooky Halloween, which is due to release on July 21, 2026.
The NBA icon, 40 year old and renowned to be passionate on the field as well as in other areas, posted his excitement on social media, stating that this is a dream come true. It is a bucket list activity of mine, literally. I read every Goosebumps book in middle school, wrote he. I am getting goosebumps now to have my very own spooky book coming to my favorite time of year!
Published by HarperCollins Children Books, with illustrations by Ariel Landy, the 32-page picture book traces events of the Halloween party organized by the older children at Hickory Elementary School where Zara and her friends spent their time. The party however takes a creepy twist when one feels that it is becoming too spooky. The question raised in the story is whether the young and old students can come together to transform the terrifying night into a happy party to all.
To LeBron James, Halloween was always something special. Halloween is my favorite holiday since I was a child and I told it in a press release. I have been anticipating this book a long time. I will be thrilled to pass on my fascination with everything Halloween to the young readers and will educate them about a significant lesson in the midst of the spooky, fun season.
Happy Spooky Halloween is the third book by LeBron James that was released by HarperCollins after his previous bestsellers I Promise and I Am More Than. He still leaves an impact on children to keep dreaming big, working hard and exercising their creativity through these books.
Although off the court, LeBron James keeps growing his legacy as an author and role model, his fans are yet to see him on the field in his 23rd NBA season. He has missed the season because of a sciatica problem and is the four-time MVP, four-time NBA champion, and the all-time leading scorer in the league.
LeBruce James continues to entertain and make the next generation go a new way, whether it is on the hardwood or in the pages of a book, and this time, it comes with a Halloween theme.
